Never ending FS9 crashes to desktop

Featured Replies

Thank you all for the suggestions. I should've taken a look at the MS message more carefully before. So, when I did, this is what I got under Error Signature...AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.30612 ModName: ai_playr.dllModVer: 9.0.0.30612 Offset: 000170f0 I'm not sure about the others on that list but that ai_playr.dll kind of stands out. Anybody ever received this message and any suggestions on how to go about? Maybe I should rebuild a new FS9.CFG file? And yeah, it's been really hot here in SoCal lately! 100+ deg in my area! :DUPDATE: I tried it again and this time I got sim1.dll in the Error Signature. :-hmmm

The error code you are getting I have never seen with a CTD on my machine in the past.TheFSCFG file takes two minutes to rebuild.I would do this first and then see if the problem persists. If you don't know how to save your joystick settings in the config, you have to reprogram the assignments and all of the other settings. But if this fixes it, it will be well worth it. I am sure someone else will chime in on the error you have,as they may have gotten it before. There may be something wrong with one of your AI textures for some reason. Best regards, Jeff

Yeah, any recently added AI aircraft? That would be my guess as to the culprit, perhaps a recently added on-line ATC pilot client like VATSIM. IVAO or WestCoast ATC? Unistall it, you can always reinstall the AI plane or pilot client software, and see if that eliminates the error message.http://www.alaska.faa.gov/fai/Clipart/SmlAcft.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD
