June 16, 201510 yr Firstly, modules purchased on Steam can be used on the standalone, but the reverse is not true. Yep, I was on steam and found out they no longer use the old DCS keys. May just go ahead and pick up the Sabre and not worry about it. June 17, 201510 yr You're opposite of me then. When I have the choice between Steam/non Steam versions of a program, I always go with the non Steam. I feel it's just an unnescesary extra layer. DCS World itself keeps track of all your module content anyway, and when it comes to mods, I prefer to do those by hand or with JSGME mod manager, because I like to know exactly what files are being manipulated. Old fashioned I guess! I was like you, now I'm the complete opposite... 1) nothing beats steam for keeping all your games up to date 2) also easy to just have stam installed and download (or even copy simply) a game to another computer 3)I can also play any game I want on a crappy computer on the same network through steam streaming if I don't feel like sitting at my main PC
