Atlanta - Charlotte. Delta Flight 1407

Featured Replies

Hey guys

So, in the continued search for a better FSX experience, I added some SweetFX tweaks to the Sim and came up with some pretty satisfactory results. This time I took the PA A320 (still learning how to fly the Aerosoft one) for a spin on Delta Airlines Flight 1407 between KATL and KCLT.

Hope you like them

Still trying to get the best from REX Textures, but still I'm pretty satisfied with what I got.

Yeah, you did well with the brightness and contrast. I find the sim to always be to dark looking in the daytime compared to the glare and brightness you see when you go outside on a sunny day. The real world brightness is hard to duplicate in the sim without over doing it and making everything shine and reflect to much.

Good job. I like the first and last ones the most, but don't care much for the clouds as them seem a little sharp and painted on for my taste. If you want to stick with REX you might want to look at their soft cloud package. Or for freeware check out the HDEv2 clouds that can be used in FSX or FS9 and the remastered HDEV2 sky set for FSX only. I've found that those sky and cloud textures are still the most realistic looking you can get, especially the sky set. The REX soft cloud package is pretty convincing as well from the screen shots I've seen but don't use it.

I'm using this preset I got from here

Still, I think I might add a few more tweaks.

Always trial and error my friend!
