Well guys I'm finally fully up and running with this add-on and there are a few nagging problems that have really ticked me off. 1. There are no visible engine/wings and horizontal stabilizer from within the cabin even though their pictured in all the promo pictures. I am very ###### about this because I feel deceived...2. The BBJ install changes my Aircraft Viewer Background. I hate when installs screw with other aspects of FS9 that I didn't consent to.3. None of the Cargo doors open externally. The only door that opens externally is the forward left passenger door.I'm sorry about the many post I wrote defending this release as I feel I've misled people. Seeing how awesome the regular 737NG aircraft were from Ariane I foolishly figured they did the same for this release. I just got my activation in which I thought the issues mentioned above were the result of the product not being fully activated. I can deal with the fact that bugs may be present in a release but when I'm blatantly deceived (by cabin screenshots) there's no excuse. How can you leave out the wings in the virtual cabin??? I'm about to test fly this thing to see if there's something wrong with the FDE. I wrote Ariane with the hopes that they address the issues listed above. As someone else wrote I hope there's no charge for the patch... :-boom I know many of you would catch this if you purchased this add-on so I thought I'd be the one to report this since I was so vocal in support of this package. One sad fact is Ariane takes all but six months to release anything (new releases, liveries, patches, you name it). It may not be until Xmas 2005 before we see these issues fixed. They haven

It seams that the wingview from the cabin, can not be achieved when walking ina "flight Attendant panel" VC mode. But if you press Ctrl + S + A or B (Wingviews), you can walk back to the cabin in that mode. And woala,..there you have the wings! I think this has to do with the fact of the 2Di panel mode or something. I also think you can save the wingview position. But I will check that later. Well after further examination I'm finding no other problems/issues with Ariane's BBJ. Guess the awkwardness of the VCe setup got to me. Ariane should release a manual specifically for the BBJ as soon as possible. The only issues I'm finding now are still items 2 and 3 above which is really no big deal. I found one other issue with the logo lights but I'll email Ariane on that one.Overall I stand corrected once again; this package is very overpriced but good all at the same time. I see Ariane needs to address a few minor issues but that's about it. Now I guess I can go to bed seeing its only 1:13am where I am... :-roll

I reluctantly bought the 700 Southwest version, only because a few people raved about it. I consider myself a PMDG fan all the way, but a few features of the Ariane peaked my interest. I actually feel bad for buying the Ariane because PMDG is so much better, in all aspects, including support.Now, here's what I'll call a review of the NG with 2Di VCe configuration, based on the SWA version.First off, let me say the activation with them sucks and doesn't work without an e-mail. Once I got this plane up and running the first issue was the panel. The 2Di gauges are very nice, however the resolution I run wouldn't work with it at all. I had to try about 5 different resolutions to get it to look decent. Now the other immediate issue was the sounds. It sounds like you're inside a vacuum cleaner just sitting at the gate. If you look at the sounds, they all have the same name as the default MS sounds, and AFAIK are just reworked default sounds. They sound like it to me. People have raved about adding their sounds to the PMDG, and this blows me away considering how bad they are. Even the AP disco sound is just some stupid ding, not the real world buzzing sound Boeings have.The FMC requires a lot of input, and someone with only a PMDG or Level-D skill level will have problems figuring it out. You must input weight and all kinds of crap. I don't recall finding any good info about the FMC in their manual, and I don't own a professional FMC guide.Once I was able to get it programmed, albeit not perfectly, I headed to the runway and took off. The first thing I noticed was the obviously horrible handling it has. You'd think they took the Cessna FDE file and used it to create their FDE for the NG. It's so sensitive and flies like a kite IMO. Also, the AP looks and acts JUST LIKE the default AP does. Bouncing and wavering engine output, just like the default jets. Crap, just crap. the ILS was just as much a default AP joke. It never followed the ILS the way any good add on does. It swung left and right until I had to intervene, and by then I was disgusted.Sure, Ariane modelled some neat systems, and they appear to work well, but the simple handling and AP control makes it not worth any time at all. Not to mention, they have you believe every system is modelled and it's not. Some simple things aren't even clickable on the overhead.I'm utterly shocked simmers with good experience have given this plane any positive recognition. It SUCKS!

I don't understand why people even consider buying Ariane. Their support, prices, aircraft quality has always been bloated up. Excuse me for saying this, but they really don't deserve to be in the community for all I care. Why? Remember posts concerning Ariane like around a year ago? Those attempts of that guy to conceal himself behind various logins... Not only that, I remember hundreds of posts concerning Ariane ("use the search function, Luke") how this dude attempted to protect his product not saying it's him, trying to boost his sales. I mean, all those things just prove that Ariane should just go away, STOP producing any addons and just leave us in peace. That is MY opinion!

If I am not misstaken, the other doors can only work with the external power unit or APU, without any engine running. But I am not sure.Did you download the first large manual and Nav Data file? That would be the very first file on the top, over the four install files. I use the "offline activation", since that is more conveniant for me. However, that means that I have to wait for an activation code, sent by mail to me (2 - 24 hours).Regarding the zip file with the manuals......When you get to the download page, using your "Old receipts" page, there are five files to download. I don't want an add-on changing any other aspect of FS9 I didn't ask for. Well I'm starting to get a little annoyed. Call me impatient, but I purchased this aircraft yesterday and can't even fly it yet because I'm still waiting for the activation code. It is getting close here in the UK to 'close of business' time, so it is getting less likely I'll get my code today. I find this outrageous in this day and age where you purchase an aircraft and can't fly it for days because you are waiting for permission from the developers - especially when the online activation just doesn't work. Why they even have that I dont know? It tricks you into believing you are going to be using something you paid

Dave don't get me wrong, once you get this add-on you should like it. It's actually a great add-on it just needs a few minor issues resolved... :-) Make sure you get Des Braban's 737NG sound set located here on Avsim. He put two versions together; make sure not to use the PMDG version with Ariane's model. You'll want to copy over the interior sound from his PMDG version as those files sound better from inside the flight deck. Just download both versions only using the PMDG set for the interior sound files. You should be up and running with no problems. In the meantime me and Staffin will see if we can get Ariane to fix the nagging issues this package has and hopefully get a HUD with night vision and weather radar included in the next update... :-cool

It's a shame PMDG doesn't make the 735, my favorite model of the 737 series. I guess it's because it's a generation behind the models they did. I don't want one nearly bad enough to do business with Ariane to get it, though.
