July 8, 201510 yr I don't know if anyone does this, but an improvement that I would like to see implemented would be to have a rain effect on the windows. I noticed that when it is raining, the windows are the same. It would be really cool to see the windows get wet, and I think the visibility through the windows when they are wet vs dry would add to the immersion and give a more realistic feel. Maybe that would have a huge impact on performance, but I don't know. What do you think? Austin Hohenshelt
July 8, 201510 yr Commercial Member What do you think? This has been discussed at length over the past few years and, unfortunately - at least with FSX - the rain effect takes up animations that we cannot spare. With our aircraft, we're really maxing animations out in our modeling. I'm not sure what the other sim platforms will bring, but at least with FSX - as it stands now - it's not a possibility. July 8, 201510 yr Alright, that's what I kind of thought. Give the JS-41 JetStream turboprop a try. Rain and ice effects are pretty good, to the point that if you don't deal with the ice you'll suffer consequences. Dan Downs KCRP
July 9, 201510 yr Is PMDG planning on making another aircraft? I suspect the next one out of the hanger will be the DC-6B for XPlane, then there is a PMDG 747v2 behind it in the production line. I guess you missed the post that was pinned in the General section by Robert discussing future plans. Dan Downs KCRP
