Corrupt bgl files after backup/restore FSX

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I have finally picked up 2 new WD Black hard drives.  While backing up my current FSX folders, 2 files were on corrupt.

1 - cvx4517.bgl

2 - cvx7836.bgl

I am trying to find out which cab those files are in and if somebody could provide the file size of the above files.

Thanks in Advance, I really don't want to spend the next several days installing everyyyything again.

CVX (KCVX) is a small airport in Michigan if that's any clue. Believe at one time there was freeware add on for it lurking around.

thanks, but they are scenery files not airport files

I don't think you can extract them from .CAB files like you could in FS9.

If you remove them from their scenery folders and run an FSX repair they should be replaced.

Times like this are the biggest reason to keep a virgin FSX backup somewhere.
