August 1, 200520 yr Author FS is confusing as is, what crashes it on one computer doesn't on another. What improves performance for one, doesn't for another. I think it's easy to get confused as to what it is the most intensive on. August 7, 200520 yr 1. I don't want to see a dramatic upward or downward pitch when I turn off the autopilot on some aircrafts that I have for fs9 that do that.2. I don't want to see paper thin clouds like the cirrus.3. I don't want to see the 10mi overcast look. It looks nice with overcast but not with clear to partly cloudy skies.4. I don't want the dramatic change from hazy to clear when you break out of the haze layer.5. I don't want to see ground shadows and sun reflecting on objects if there is overcast conditions, but have sun peak through if the clouds are broken.6. I don't want to see the same lighting conditions if it is overcast as you would with clear or partly cloudy skies.

August 9, 200520 yr > 1. I don't want to see a dramatic upward or downward pitch> when I turn off the autopilot on some aircrafts that I have> for fs9 that do that. You dont have to see that right now... IT comes from having speed too high or low, so the autopilot is adjusting the TRIM to attempt to correct it. If you notice it before adjusting power, you may see the trim set way down or way up. Before you turn off the autopilot, adjust your speed so that trim is about centered. Then, turn off autopilot, and you have a smooth transition. If you put your gear down, and add flaps at the same time, on autopilot, and than adjust speed to trim it, it also helps...
August 9, 200520 yr >2) Stop the Yo-Yo altitude directions. A great example of>this is when I fly from KBFI-KBLI. I set my requested>altitude to 4000 (just in case I get runway 34). When I get>ILS 16, ATC tells me climb and maintain 5900. One minute>later, descend and maintain 5100. The next minute, climb and>maintain 5900, and so on.>I very seldom ever get Yo-yo altitude directions... Am wondering if it has anything to do with how I set up to fly ILS. First, I create my flight plan with FSNavigator. Then, I export it to FS2004, a flight I call -CURRENT.Then, load that flight with the flight planner and make NO changes, just go fly. Most of the time, as soon as I reach the altitude, ATC just gives me a heading, and tells me to do my own navigation. As long as I dont stray very far from it, I may not hear from them except to get handed off from one Center to another, until I come to BOD. Then they give me the decent, sometimes twice, hand me to Approach, bring me within sight of the runway.... Then hand me to the Tower.Just once in the past week have they had me go up 1000, then down, that was flying from Kayenta, AZ to Grand Canyon KGCN.... Approaching a small mountain, if they hadnt, I'd have asked for it. For at least 10-14 days before that, at least two or three flights a day, had no Yo-Yo directions. Not even any course adjustments.BUT, one thing I do, is have Commercial Flight turned off, it gives me better frame rates, ATC is not so busy, etc... But, I do use GA-Traffic, set to the MAX flights that I can get. AT KFUL, my local field, have depending on time of day, 35-50 GA aircraft visible. I've got about 75 parking spots there also.
