Missing Tower Instruction

Recommended Posts

For the past couple of weeks I've noticed that once I land I no longer get the "turn at next taxiway message".   I can hear the slight hesitation where it should be, it just isn't.

All other ATC messages appear to work. including "contact gound" after exiting the runway.

The message always annoyed me, so I can't say that I miss it, but its absence indicates does indicate something is broken.

Thanks,.

Ernie

So after you touch down, what is the next ATC instruction that you receive?   If you receive instruction to get clearance to taxi to your gate/ramp, then it could be likely that you did not touch down on the runway proper, but may have touched down short or your main undercarriage went over the runway edge.   Just a thought!

That message might also be triggered by loitering on the runway or by passing a certain number of taxiway entrances.  Just a thought, I do not know for certain.
