August 9, 200520 yr I have been flying Level-D's gorgeous 767 for the past few days, which has meant long flights using the aircraft's autopilot. My CH yoke (USB) cuts out after a few minutes of non-use and I have to unplug it and re-connect it to get it working again.I checked my USB hub settings and the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box in NOT ticked. Very annoying....any suggestions please? John
August 9, 200520 yr Same here, but with their pedals, using Win XP. I tried to install the CH driver and it basically made things worse. I suspect I need to uninstall and read the install manual (after 4 years of having them).Plug and play, ain't quite so plug and pray. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
August 9, 200520 yr Ahhhh... The memories.I use to have the same problem a few years ago.I suggest you switching around your devices, so the Yoke is plugged directly into a USB Port on the board, instead of the hub, and assign something else to the hub. printer, Keyboard, etc....Also is your hub self powered or does it draw power from the board. If it is not self powered, it may be drawing too much. Just brain storming here.CH and Hubs don't get along very well in all cases. Might depend on hub manufacturer, who knows.Regards,JoeGrab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a] CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
August 10, 200520 yr Somewhere in your system/hardware/device manager settings for the USB controllers or whatever is a check to enable shutdown of a USB device to save resources if the CPU needs more or if the device is not being used for a period. Disable this. It is typical of the symptoms you describe.
August 10, 200520 yr Author Thanks everyone.I finally solved it by going to the CH Products site and installing Control Manager. This updated my drivers and all is now working well.Remember to restart your computer after you install.Cheers, John
