With all tweaks only ever try one at a time and see what happens, never think for 1 second if something works for others it will work for you. As you have found out. 

 

And keep a detailed log of what you try.


 

 


I don't remember getting any box that I checked allowing changes like that, but I did have problems that day with the install of the add on manager update, and had to do it twice. This may be when it happened,

 

I just earlier this week updated Add-on Manager myself after losing patience with the reminder popping up every time I started FSX. You caused me to go check my fsx.cfg file. It was not changed. My last change was about three weeks ago with a change I made. I do have affinity mask set to 84 based on my quad core processor with hyper-threading. I cannot with my BIOS turn HT off.

 

This is correct for FSX from all I have read,  I will be migrating to P3D when my new system build is complete. Should affinity mask be eliminated for all P3D setups?

Ah! Read through the remainder of this topic and found the answer and explanation. I'm good on this and P3D!
