Why do you want to remove it? Just remove that section in the dll.xml file and it will not load on startup. It could cause issues if you remove it and fly the Airbus or PMDG that have it built in

Thanks for super quick reply, I just wanted to experiment with a few programs as I've just done a complete reinstall of everything fsx on a brand new rig and I'm having this issue of the fsx splash screen jumping to the lower right corner of the monitor when I click on "X" to close fsx and then freezing and will not close down without shutting down the computer.

Great. Yes there are different versions depending on your setup.

Hmm.  Are you by chance using SweetFX?  I had a similar problem with the Airbus (RAAS included) causing FSX to hang on exit.  SweetFX has a really bad habit of doing strange things when flying a complex aircraft.  It's great for low and slow though.

OK.  Good Deal.  AU Animation.dll ?  That's a new one for me. Do you mean UIAutomationcore.dll?  Glad it fixed your problem.
