P3D and Oculus Rift

Featured Replies

Hi,

Someone use Oculus Rift whit P3d?

What do you think?

It doesn't work with the current oculus runtime. Looks like it was compiled with the older one in mind which is a shame because it has been known that oculus will stop supporting the older one for ages now. If you try and run prepar3d with a rift turned on you get an error saying prepar3d is not compatible. I was looking forward to trying the built in support aswell.

Lol how embarrassing for Lockheed.

P3D runs fine with 0.6 runtimes using FlyInside software.

The new 0.7 got rid of extended mode..which is actually a step in the right direction because it is what the Rift is suppose to be.

Extended mode is pretty much just a quick cheat for devs.

Now the fire has been set under software devs butts to actually make  direct mode compatible software.
