Seems at add on airports I see the add on control tower and near it I see the default tower as well. I think I may have messed something up installing a freeware airport in the past. Can any one suggest how to repair this ?

Easy, duplicate AFCAD. Using MTX? You can use the freeware duplicate AFCAD scanner from ScruffyDuck.

Thanks for the help guys. At Scruffy Duck the closest I could find was the add on airport scanner which didn't seem much use here. I tried moving add on airports to top of scenery library but that didn't do it.

Vic, that tool you found us essential the same thing. I use their older version found here in the Avsim library http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxsd&DLID=146392 . It will scan for multiple AFCADS and give you the path to them to make them easy to find and either remove or disable.

As jimburke mentioned, two towers showing is definitely caused from having multiple AFCADS installed for the same airport. Unfortunately FSX doesn't do a good job in respect to knowing which one to used based on their layer in the scenery .cfg.

As Jim asked, are you using MTX or MT6? If so, just go into the folder that MTX installs all its AFCADS to and find the one with the matching ICAO code and either remove it or rename it to .off or .bak. If you don't have MTX/6 then you must have gotten the othere AFCAD from a freeware scenery pack such as ORBX or ones from Avsim or the like.

You could search manually or just use the scanner to find it.
