Converting Xplane scenery to FSX?

Featured Replies

I'd like to convert Xplane scenery to FSX. There is a nice looking GMMX [deleted] but no contact info for the author, Rene. It would be nice to have this high quality terminal in FSX. All I can find for GMMX for FSX are updated afcad files with default buildings. Does anyone know how to transfer xplane scenery to fsx? Tutorials online explain how to do it the other way around, from fsx to xplane. Thank you!

Removed link to file.

Have you tried searching the Internet for GMMX for FSX?  I see you found some updated AFCAD Files but there appears to be a lot of scenery for this airport on the Internet.  If there are no tutorials for converting X-Plane files to FSX, it means it is probably not possible or allowed.

I know of no direct way to "transfer" x-plane scenery to FSX....however objects, such as the terminal you refer to, can be converted for use and placement into FSX and P3D for that matter.

Has info on how to do just that using - ModelConverterX - http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=ModelConverterX

Mind you it takes some time to learn how to import and convert into the correct format.  I have successfully converted many x-plane objects to FSX bgl's, but then again I have been using this tool for years.

cheers

Bryan.

Best regards,

There are some GMMX scenery for FSX available but it is all default models and afcad updates only. The Xplane scenery at flightsim has real terminal and tower models in their scenery
