Autopilot Issue (P3D V3)

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon,

First off, I have several hundred hours in the NGX so I'm kind of baffled as to why this is happening.  I was climbing out and all seemed normal.  I went to engage the autopilot and it doesn't engage.  The generators are on, packs on, hydraulics on, both FDs on and Master on captain's side.  Everything seems normal to me but the autopilot will not engage.  I am flying in an American Airlines New Paint that I downloaded in the AVSIM library and not using the PMDG Op center.  Could that have something to with it?  I checked the FMC to see if there was any sort of failure in the options menu but no failures are active.  My controller seems to be calibrated I think so I don't believe this is controller input related..  I changed the FMC to NOT realistic AP engagement but I suppose that won't work until I close and start the simulator again.  I am using P3D V3 by the way, and all has worked well until now.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Orman Upton

Did you try rebooting and making a test after changing the AP to not realistic?

Is this a problem with only that livery? I suspect that not using the OC to install may have something to do with it. I have many many flights already in P3Dv3 with NGX and A/P works as expected.

Yes, I believe it is only this livery.  I haven't been able to recreate the problem using one of the liveries I downloaded through the Op Center.  Thanks for the replies!
