Mouse in P3d v3 moves on its own

Recommended Posts

Have installed p3d v3 when it came out  and now these past few weeks - after a few moments in the sim the mouse starts moving on its own and  gauge click points become impossible to use. It was random but now does it all the time.

Come out of sim and mouse stops and is back to normal.

Using WIN10,PMDG 777-737,Dash400, Ezdoc,Fsuipc registerd 4.948, and mainly default scenery - boring I know.

Anyone experienced this and a possible answer - have tried wire and wireless mice, update drvrs  but all do the same - cannot remember any update that would interfere with this.

It's not Windows 10, P3D, or your aircraft (unless your PMDG aircraft are not registered or you installed them with an older installer).  I run P3D v3 on a Win10 machine with zero issues concerning click spots.  Pointers moving on their own...that sounds like possession.

I assume that you mean the mouse pointer onscreen. :)

Are you using a yoke/joystick also? Whether you are or aren't make sure that you aren't having a conflict between the sim's control of the mouse and FSUIPC's control. Having axes assigned by both the sim and FSUIPC causes odd controller behavior like you are experiencing.

Denis, Jay is right. If you have a joystick with a mouse knob like the Saitek X52 disable the mouse function on the stick and the "real" mouse should work normally again.

Pmdg are registered and installed with latest installers- decided to buy another wired mouse, cheap one from local supermarket and all working at this moment.

The other mice were old ones so there you go - computers are "fun"

All the best

I can relate to computer equipment going nuts.  I replaced my work keyboard with a very sweet, top of the line generic keyboard from MicroCenter, paid a whole $4 for it and I tell ya, that keyboard's keys are better quality than some of your more expensive keyboards on the market.  Yep, computers are fun...actually it's a love hate relationship, especially when it comes to getting them playing nice with flight simulators. :)

Glad everything is working for ya.
