Need your opinion on Scenery selection....

Featured Replies

I am looking for sceneries in four different places that I fly often online that will not affect or actually increase FPS for these locations:1.) Hawaiian islands2.) Phoenix3.) Albuquerque4.) Las VegasI prefer freeware of course but if there is a gem payware I would also be interested. Thanks for the feedback and advice.

One add-on that will enhance all areas is Flight1's Ultimate Terrain. It provides with you accurate roads, rivers, streams and coastlines and enhanced town and city placement for the entire Continental US and Hawaii. It's a must have. It won't increase your frame rate, however.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

Thanks Tony, I am not too concerned with an increase in frame rates, just as long as the scenery does not affect the frames too much.

**Bump**I'll give these questions one more chance before they are lost in the Sea of Avsim.

Avoiding an FPS drop - impossibleHowever - personally I love the stuff which Bill Melichar has done for Hawaii - several airports - you also need the DBWSim scenery for Pearl Harbor.Albuquerque is one I haven't got around to installing yet but there appears to be some cooperation at that airport between freeware developers.

One add-on that will enhance all areas is Flight1's UltimateTerrain. That is subjective as I have uninstalled due to some incompatability with actual sceneries, plus I had issues with FPS and load times (to be expected due to the nature of the product).Just not for me.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

I couldn't see Honolulu without Lago's excellent Honolulu scenery. One of the best.Lee

There are several useful Albuquerque enhancements in the library.- albuquerquenm.zip adds a few realistic, recognizable buildings downtown.- kabq2004.zip is a photorealistic Sunport terminal and other buildings.- real_kaeg_v1.zip has Double Eagle II.Of course 38-m terrain mesh is essential to bring out the topography of the Sandias. I use Justin's freeware fsg_rockies38m.zip.John
