PIC 737 problem

Featured Replies

I've just got a new computer. FSX installed ok. Win7.

I then tried to install PIC737 off my disk, which at first

started ok. Then it said, install to FSX?, which it started

& asked did I want SP2 which it did, then the process

started, after I did a cold reboot, ran FSX, exited

FSX, then it would not continue with the install, no

matter what I try. Any ideas,

Thx Peter  Sydney  Australia

Hi I actually just installed the PIC today and came across the same problem with fsx-se. Just click cancel when it asks if you want to install SP2 and it should go through the install process without it. If it doesn't install after that, it may be something else.

Thx mate! I'll try that. I wonder if PIC is compatible with x64 processor?

No cancelling didn't fix it. Is there anywhere you can buy a

new PIC737 which will work with FSX, or a very similar 737?

Thx

FSX is a 32-bit program, so there is no processor issue with PIC 737.

That was my first commercial aircraft with an FMS, found memories.

It's been years since I messed with PIC, but as I recall, back then it was not Windows 7 compatible and Just Flight/Wilco had no plans to upgrade it.  You might want to check there website for a new installer though because as I said, it's been a number of years since I looked at this (I don't even have my disk anymore)..

You may consider moving to one of the later developed 737s.... they're quite nice.

Best of luck.

I have the Justflight box CD version which comes with either FS9/FSX installers and it installed fine in my FSX-Box version in win 7 64 bit.   The just flight version already had the Windows Vista upgrade so maybe that's why you are having issues?...I know there is a Windows Vista (Paid) upgrade for the people that had only the FSX non-vista version.
