November 27, 201510 yr I wanted to simulate a realistic scneario where I would start off at the gate of KSFO in the PMDG 777. Starting off with a cold and dark start up of the plane, and then do my flight planning with PFPX app, exporting the file, and then loading it into the plane's FMS. Now as far as vectors showing up in my SID or STAR when pulling up the routes page in my FMS... will P3D's built-in ATC system actually vector me to my next waypoint? or do I have to delete the vector entry completely from my flightplan? I notice the PMDG 777's tutorial on the flight to OMDB, that there's no ATC interaction at all, and there's no vector waypoints showing up in the FMS. But sometimes when I create my own flight plans, there's a vector waypoint showing up. I'm confused on what to do when I take off from an airport and I come across a vector waypoint what should I do if I do not use ATC at all? November 27, 201510 yr P3d's ATC engine is unchanged from FSX in it's operation. When it comes to vectors, you have the choice of self vectoring or going direct the first fix (or beyond) on your route. You are better off using the ATC to listen to as chatter with flight following or get an addon ATC program. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
