newbie question

I am about to learn how to use the PMDG-777,however when I load the program I notice that the cockpit view

does not fit into my computer screen

My goal is to achieve what you can see from the picture called PMDG-777 ( This is from the tutorial 1 by Scandinavian )

Can anybody tell me how to do this ?

Thank you

Make sure your resolution is set correctly in your FSX > Display settings. Additionally, make sure you have WideAspectView set to TRUE in your FSX.cfg.

In addition to what Kyle has said, it looks like you're not in full-screen mode either:

On the image you posted you'll see at the top of the "Views" Menu "Full Screen" [you can also use the shortcut ALT + ENTER]. That will put FSX into full screen mode (like many other games run) hiding your Windows task bar.

However if you're trying to follow along on the video as well, it is a little more difficult to switch between full screen FSX and a web browser to watch the video. If you're able to, you may find it easier watching the tutorial on a second device (tablet, iPad, smartphone, etc.) whilst having FSX full screen on your computer.

Adjust your seat further back, and zoom out to about 0.6.

I wouldn't recommend either of these. The former can end up getting your eyepoint in the headrest, which could mean not being able to click anything. The latter distorts the image and sight picture. You should use as close to 1.0 as possible, while still giving you a decently wide field of view.
