Regional Jet?

Featured Replies

Hey,I'm looking to buy a regional jet at this year's avsim conference. Could anyone make any reccomendations? I want something that has good FPS and is well detailed (cockpit and eye candy). I'm leaning towards the Feel There CRJ... any opinions? Thanks.http://www.kthxdone.com/images/kw_ft.jpgKen Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Hi Ken.I'm not too sure if you can still buy the CRJ 200, but, maybe you can, if you can, then Definately buy it. it's fntastic, and then there is their later ERJ 145 PIC, now this is great, and a fantastic panel too, and their sound files are excelent too. and a working newest version of TCAS to boot.

oops, no, I don't think it does as a standard install, but over at the feel there forums, someone made one for it. go and ask them, they are a friendly lot, and will point you in the right direction.but the newer CRJ comes fully loaded.hope this helps you in you're decision.

The ERJ by Feelthere is way ahead of their CRJ. The CRJ has some quirks and the FMC does not have a lot of features. However, the ERJ is an excellent aircraft that I still fly often. I considered it up there with some of the best payware.David

As stated, the FT CRJ has some shortcomings. The developers stated that it was not intended to be a complete or advanced simulation. Some FMC features are not implemented, and there are other minor deficiencies. Unfortunately it's the only CRJ-200 simulation around. Would love to have a major developer produce a complete quality CRJ200/700. I do not own FT ERJ.Dave Vega

(I own both) but>still.. I like the CRJ so much more. They haven't posted in their forums for over 3 months though.

Thank you. There's hope still. Those visuals are amazing. Here's hoping all those buttons do work, and that there's a complete FMC implementation. Again, thank you for the link.Dave Vega

Feelthere's CRJ package is still very good and will tide you over until Hans Hartmann and his colleagues release their version. I regularly fly CRJ's (as a passenger) from Colorado Springs to Denver. It's a 20 minute flight, so it's flown at low altitudes -which means lots of rattling around, especially during Colorado's sommer thunder storms. ricardo

On my old rig, an Athlon XP 2200 with 1 gig of ram and an nvidia ti 4200, the performance hit was quite severe, but it was still flyable. ricardo

The ERJ is excellent, hands down. Personally I have found the performance of the CRJ more severe. The ERJ has an included config tool that allows one to increase performance by leaps and bounds. If you look at the feelThere's forums for the ERJ you'll see hardly any posts on performance issues after the team released the config tool for the plane. As far as regional jets offered for FS9 I would have to say that there is no question that the ERJ is the way to go. My two cents.
