Black screen after Alt+Enter

Featured Replies

Hi

I reinstalled FSX-SE in an attempt to fix some issues, but I instead encountered a new one. Whenever I press Alt+Enter to exit or leave full-screen, the sim stays in the current state (full-screen or windowed) and displays a black screen. I can press Esc and view the End Flight, and return to the main menu, but nothing else. After returning to the main menu, the aircraft preview is also black. I have tested this on a default aircraft and a PMDG 737NGX. I am running Windows 10 and FSX is not tweaked.

A lot of this "Black Screen" stuff with Win 10 seems to be a graphics driver issue.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

DX9 or DX10?

Could be, but one thing to mention is that I've seen this happen when your desktop resolution and resolution in FSX are different.  It's worth a try setting them up the same and see if that cures it.

Otherwise perhaps try a different video driver.
