January 20, 201610 yr I downloaded the latest TrackIR software and the X-Camera plugin detects it ingame. But when I press "enable", the camera just changes a bit to the right, sometimes at a different angle but usually the camera just get stuck in one position and doesn't register any head movements- Both sensors are activated, as seen by the lights. It works fine in P3D with EZdok. Any ideas? Brynjar Mauseth
January 20, 201610 yr I downloaded the latest Any ideas? I dont know why but I had to install pilotview plugin to get it to work ???? i7 4777k 4.6mhz, 32gddr3, GTX 760 4g sci ,Saitek x52,yoke and quadrant, 60 Led . SSD
January 20, 201610 yr When I first load xplane I have to disable X-Camera then reactivate it in the plugins menu. Also in your settings / joystick & Equipment / equipment / make sure track-ir when in 3D cockpit view is not enabled. If you are new to X-camera I suggest you watch these tutorials. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCM3gYU35I Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. January 20, 201610 yr You have to enable the TrackIR on a per view basis , there is a checkbox in the control panel. By default it is turned off. You have to also make sure you save it. There are cameras created for each aircraft so you will have to enable/disable for each aircraft as well. Steve McNitt
January 21, 201610 yr Pete Richards answer is the way mine works all the time perfectly. X-camera and Track IR is my most used components beside the flight computer. Trevor Golding
January 21, 201610 yr Author Thanks for the response! Will try immediately when I arrive home from work  Can't live without TrackIR. I'm absolutely new to X-Plane so there's a lot to take in. My initial impression, however, is that the night environment feeling beats Prepar3D's a** Brynjar Mauseth
January 21, 201610 yr I think it's covered above, but a step by step: 1. Uncheck the TrackIR block in the settings menu. 2. Restart XPX 3. Enable X-Camera 4. Open the control panel for X-Camera 5. Check the top option block - Something like enable Track-IR. 6. If not exactly where you want your viewpoint, move to that point and click save all (it is in the bottom right). 7. For additional view points, click on "Add" (Just to the right of one initially named "Pilot View") and move to a new point and set things as you like them and rename Pilot View to"overhead" or whatever and save that setting before moving to another view. You have to enable TrackIR on each camera view, or it will not work. It's set this way so that you can have some views (say when you are looking at the MCDU) it won't move around as your head moves - allowing more precise control. Just be sure to click for the next camera before moving your view or it will overwrite the previous setting. You can also "Add" to the left window - creating passenger cabin views, outside views, or whatever. John John Wingold

I tried starting TrackIR before and after staring X-Plane but no change. Disabling and reactivating X-Camera from the plugin menu doesnt work either. Track IR box is ticked yes. Any suggestions? Works fine with P3D. Brynjar Mauseth
