January 22, 201610 yr Hi all- Just bought the new Carenado C90 GTX. I've got a Hotas Warthog throttle unit where the right side (lever) controls the throttle and the left side (lever) is not being used. When I go into control assignments, propeller axis one and two are both there. I've tested one by assigning the left lever and it works, for that lever only. What I need to do is to 'hook' those two prop levers together and assign them both to the one available lever. Any ideas on how to do this? I have no idea, so far :>) Thanks, Mark
January 22, 201610 yr You need to set it to prop pitch axis no prop pitch engine 1 axis ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
January 22, 201610 yr ? Don't understand... There are separate prop controls for each engine but there is also one control that controls all the engines at once. It is just called something like 'prop pitch' instead of 'prop pitch1'. MarkH https://www.youtube.com/@AlmostAviation AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / 64Gb DDR5 / Zotac RTX 5070 Ti / 2560 x 1440 display
January 22, 201610 yr ? Don't understand... if you have FSUIPC4 then you are looking for Prop Pitch as MarkH says, however in P3D controls its called 'propeller axis'. if you have FSX then look for similar, can't remember with out booting fsx up. bob edit just checked its the same in fsx , in controls go down the list till you get to 'proppeller axis'
January 22, 201610 yr Author OK- As noted in the original post, I know about propeller axis. What I need to do is have one lever on my HOTAS throttle control BOTH of the prop axis levers at the same time in the aircraft through the Settings > Controls in P3D. I have a post over at Simflight/FSUIPC as I'm thinking FSUIPC may be able to handle this. Thanks, Mark
January 22, 201610 yr When setting up the axis move one throttle lever forward to be your engine and leave the other alone. When setting up the prop axis move the lever you didn't assign to the throttle. I'm pretty sure they are independent axis ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
January 22, 201610 yr Author This is a twin. The throttle on the HOTAS already controls both engines.
January 22, 201610 yr This is a twin. The throttle on the HOTAS already controls both engines. I'm confused, the warthog has two throttles and you want to control both engines as well as the props, right? ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
January 22, 201610 yr As noted in the original post, I know about propeller axis. No, in your original post you referred to the 'propeller axis one and two'. In FSX these are actually called 'Engine 1 propeller axis' and 'Engine 2 propeller axis'. There is another axis called 'Propeller axis', which controls all the props at once. That's the one you want.
