January 23, 201610 yr Author Put your screen on it max Hz and FPS to unlimited. AM if HT is on and setting right for your PC. I used to do that, and I loved it....there were more stutters though. But the fluidity of the head movement and panning was unmatched. It was great. The problem was my GPU usage would be extremely high because of all the future frames being rendered. With the 30hz, I'm able to keep CPU and GPU usage way down. GPU usage peaks at around 60-70% in the most GPU demanding scenes. CPU usage hovers around 25-50% with no AM, HT off, without any core being burned to the ground. I don't know if I've just gotten used to 30hz in the past 24 hours, or if my system just needed some breaking in...I'm starting to like 30hz, and it is appearing to be as smooth as it needs to be for flight. Panning is still a little jumpy, but not nearly as bad as before. The key to keeping the 'jumpiness' to a minimum is to either pan slow (with TrackIR) or don't pan at all (EZDOK...which I don't use because it's annoying lol). I'm still interested to hear about other's feeling and experiences towards this whole subject. It never hurts to try out new ideas. Hi folks, i just wanted to show you guys how 30Hz works for me. January 23, 201610 yr Yes, really nice video, have you posted your settings anywhere? Is there more headroom when you set your refresh to 30Hz? I tried my HDTV @ 30Hz and it was jumpy, don't know if I could run my display at that refresh rate. So you're breaking her in are you Andrew, I'm glad that it is getting better. \Robert Hamlich/
