Every time I am flying the PMDG 777 300, my FMC indicates at the bottom section the following message " FLT NUMBER UPLINK " what does this message mean.

Every time I am flying the PMDG 777 300, my FMC indicates at the bottom section the following message " FLT NUMBER UPLINK " what does this message mean.

 

When does this appear? When you're importing a route?

This is just a notification that you’ve received a new flight number via uplink, and it’s available on the RTE page. It’s most likely occurring for you due to requesting a flight plan with a stored flight number in it. No action is required on your part.

I have never seen that message in the ACARS process. I need to fill in the flight number after the route is loaded. If I forget I get no messages. The only difference is that the Progress page title is not populated with the flight number. Time to hit the pdf's....

I was not aware of this feature...I have always entered the callsign manually.
