FSX Backlit Keyboard?

Featured Replies

Have seen this a while back but the price seems a bit high but a nice toy to have

Anyone see this? Neat idea but I really hate chiclet type keyboards.

I bought the Corsair K65 RGB, and while it's still mounted on my yoke, I rarely use it, never mind pay any attention  to the colours I had mapped out. I have since deleted the default key assignments and just use it for running a couple of LUA scripts. I find those cherry red keys to loud anyway. In fact, you have made me realise that I could sell it, buy a another small form factor but, cheap, cheap keyboard, and hopefully not have the one Warthog Dual Throttle I have found new sell out too soon. Thanks guys!

I'm going to get the Corsair K30 I think. Why? Cause I need a new keyboard and the 6 programmable extra keys will come in handy with FSX.

Though your comment about the noisy switches kind of bothers me. I thought the cherry reds were the quiet ones?

I thought the corsair cherry reds were the noisiest of them and the brown the quietest. Could be wrong though.

I have had this keyboard for about a month now and I really like it. I personally don't find the keys noisy, although I wouldn't consider myself picky in that sense, seems rather normal decibel levels for a keyboard. The build quality is great, packaging is not cheap. I really like the backlighting as it is adjustable. There is no software to speak of, it worked right out of the box with my Windows 10. I would recommend it for sure. I don't do any other gaming other than FSX/P3D and DCS so a designated flight simulator short cut labeled keyboard appeals to me a great deal. If you're gaming resume extends farther then that, probably not.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

I think these are laptop type keys (or chiclet style as VeryBumpy described them). The Corsair we were referring to are mechanical keyboards, and can be quite 'clickty-clackty' in comparison. I actually think that keyboard is a beautiful looking thing, but I presume they are printed on and you're stuck with their configuration? (Which is no bad thing if that's what you use) I take it you don't use FSUIPC PWJ?

Cheers

They are printed on, and very well done I must say. The printing doesn't appear to be anything that will wear off. I do use FSUIPC mainly for my axis configuration and VAS monitoring.

It looks like a quality product- enjoy!
