Did I miss something as far as change of seasons?

Featured Replies

Hi all., I seem to remember that FSX and P3D would automatically change seasons on March 21 (the time and season is set to spring). Right now, flying in northern regions, I still have snow and yet sailboats are happily sailing in the waters. Did I miss something somewhere as to the season change?

I am wondering about this as well...

I think it does it gradually depending on how far north you go. It's trying to be more realistic I think.

It does it on the month I believe. from what I remember, there is no way to set a season based on a day. You only do it by months. So each bgl will switch on its "spring" month.

So, for example, bgls can be coded to show their season textures for spring in April and May. Then summer in June, July, August. Then fall in September, October, November. Winter of course in the remaining months. This is just an example. You can set in each bgl what months are for each season. So in the Arctic, they are all probably just a winter texture displayed for all the months.

Hmm... you might be right. As a test, I flew due south from CYUL and I can see the land marks turning green at just north of Allentown. Pretty cool.
