The homeward journey; return from the Lone Ranger flight to Singapore. Instead of Gan to Masirah, we go from Gan to Dubai. The runway at Masirah isn't long enough for the uptake of fuel we need to reach Akrotiri. Dubai has a huge runway ;)

Uneventful flight around M0.9 over MMFO and MMFD. Where are those airfields you ask? Well, the first one is miles & miles of.... Water. The second is the same but .... desert.  :P This might have originated with some RAF crews during the Gulf War when our US friends were asking the whereabouts of the RAF jets. "Oh we're just passing over MMFD". If it's not true, it's a good story!
