Manage Camera Views

Featured Replies

Is it possible to this feature in lieu of Opus or Ezdok, by setting up cameras and assigning buttons and/or keys to each of them? What about transitions between them?

TKS!

I am sure you can set views and assign them to keyboard or joystick buttons, but I don't think there would be a transition between the views. You would just see the views one after the other, with no transition.

I guess that is why there are software like ezdok....

I stand to be corrected.

Yes, you can define camera positions in the sim without EZDOK or Opus and assign them to (10) HotKeys in your aircraft.cfg or camera.cfg.

The transitions between them seem to depend on the type of camera. Each camera definiton has a parameter called "Transition", which you can set to yes or no. If the camera you are coming from, and the camera that you are calling up next, both have this parameter set to "yes", then the sim will float the camera from one position to the next. This works quite well for external cameras in the "Aircraft" category, but it does not really work with internal VC/Cockpit cameras. To be sure, AFAIK the floating effect should work in VC too, but I haven't been able to figure out the correct combination of camera parameters yet.
