You do realize that picture was taken as a part of Austin's "Corvette-Segway Challenge" About a decade ago right? The whole thing was tongue in cheek and I don't know how anyone would take that as evidence of his eccentricity. .

 

"evidence of eccentricity" is not what I wrote. I wrote about "attributions of eccentricity", and this photo is exactly that; posting it here is an example for attributing eccentricity to Austin. And that's relevant, because eccentricity is attributed to him in other contexts, too (for example when you work together with people who made interviews with him).
