July 7, 20169 yr I love the new extended DSF option in X-Plane 10.4x, but to me another eye sore is when you're flight at dusk, dawn, or at night and you're at such an altitude where you can see the night lighting getting cut off in the distance. It really ruins the immersion of flying at these hours. I was hoping that the extended DSF would fix this problem but it didn't. Is there some way where we can make the night lighting extend out further? :( ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU
July 8, 20169 yr you can play with "world distance" pickdown on the rendering settings, but you will be still limited in -very high- compared to what you are looking for. This restriction comes from the old 32 bit days where machines will run out of mem quite easily. the developers are fully aware of this "light draw distance" present restriction. No estimated date for an improvement yet. Manuel Merelles
July 8, 20169 yr I believe I have read somewhere that you can use Real Terra Haze to tweak the distant lights in order to make them fade out more naturally, so at least the hard cut-off look is gone. But I don't use RTH so I can't confirm this.
