September 19, 20169 yr Hi guys, Just a little question. What setting causes the different spoiler animation? fully out not fully out. both pictures are during +100 kts with full reverse thrust. Where can I change this "setting", because the Travel Star animation should be fully out, like the TUIfly. TUIFly: 737-8K5 Travel Star: 737-8FN Thank you in advance. Philipp Schwaegerl
September 19, 20169 yr This is a nice example of how much more realistic the NGX is. Big difference in the quality of the visual model too..., thanks for sharing that. Dan Downs KCRP

September 19, 20169 yr If I am not mistaken (and I usually am), it looks like the TUIFly model has the Short Field Package installed.....while the travelstar does not. The short field package changes a variety of settings related to the flaps, slats and spoiler logic. In this particular case, and in answer to your question, the flight spoilers are capable of 60 degree deflection on touchdown. This compares to the current 33/38 degrees and reduces stopping distances by improving braking capability. You can add/remove the short field package using the FMC.
