November 1, 20169 yr This is what I get in DX9 with the default halo.bmp and all runway lights at various scales in the fsx.cfg. 1.2: https://abload.de/img/2016-11-1_22-6-22-582tez0m.jpg 1.0: https://abload.de/img/2016-11-1_22-2-21-4083gx10.jpg 0.8: https://abload.de/img/2016-11-1_22-8-28-2911tus8.jpg 0.6: https://abload.de/img/2016-11-1_22-15-38-91sgxm9.jpg As you can see, the lights get dimmer with decreasing size and are thus harder to see from afar, so revert to the default bitmap and then scale the lights in the fsx.cfg so that you can still clearly see them from about five miles out or more. Easy recognition from a distance is the entire point of runway lighting after all. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

November 5, 20169 yr Author I replaced the halo.bmp with a REX texture direct one and tweaked the scalar values in the FSX.cfg. Now it's much brighter. Seems the halo.bmp was too dim. Thx all. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
