P3D v3.4 Problem: Flashing Effects

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I recently started noticing a new issue with some of my aircraft effects and even the lights on my AI. It seems as though they are flashing rather rapidly and I cant seem to nail down what it is. Is there a corruption in my effects folder? It happens with any smoke effect or lighting effects on my ai and even at certain airports such as Flytampa and some others. Any help would be appreciated, I have attached a short video to demonstrate the problem.

Let me guess.... you want 64bit.

Just an update. It seems as though it is caused by SLI mode with the newer Nvidia drivers. Anyone else having this issue? If I disable SLI it seems to go away which means some compatibility with P3D and SLI is broken.

This was a problem with the early drivers and SLI that some had. I have not noticed it with the new driver but I'll pay more attention. One thing that worked for me with the early drivers was to use Nvidia Inspector and set AA at 8xCSAA.

I also noticed something similar from the VC and in rainy weather.

It's SLI only in the past 3 driver releases. I disabled SLI for now in P3D.
