October 30, 20169 yr Commercial Member I do believe they have something like this in their mobile version - quite smart to include it in the desktop release. Gets new people used to the whole thing, etc. I personally think a really smart idea would be to make the tutorial format and section open to add-on developers. Imagine having a full in-game third party tutorial with step by step instructions on a start-up routine, or FMS programming. Or even, on a flight seeing tour around a new airport. All accessible from one spot. I think that would be the bees knees. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
October 30, 20169 yr That would be a great idea! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

October 30, 20169 yr If you read through this thread David, most of us agree this particular video did a poor job of showcasing the newest XP11 features (except the flight school part of course). I think some of the other videos in their preview series better show the visual aspects of XP11. The lighting is far different now with PBR (and not really shown in this video). Water is being worked on, and from the dev blog, looks strangely familiar to P3D dynamic water (which I think is great!) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 30, 20169 yr looks strangely familiar to P3D dynamic water (which I think is great!) Hardly a big surprise, since they both use the same background mechanisms. Although it is at the moment a CPU effect, but if I see it correctly, it might become integrated into the GPU code. Karsten Schubert
