November 26, 20169 yr Unfortunately, JV's response to any complaints is to ban the complainer. With ORBX direct, this may mean you are no longer able to access your purchases. I'm sorry, but if you hand over your money, you have paid for customer service. And you have also paid for the right to complain if you don't think you are being treated right or if a product does not work as promised. Whether this is actually true or not, is another story for another time. We ALL can get ticked off if something doesn't go our way, but the truth is, when things get heated, we tend to say a lot of things we don't mean. John can be blunt, a straight-shooter who doesn't sugar coat. He has just as much a rite to say he doesn't like something as we do. There have been quite a few people who have gone a step too far from blowing off a little steam over the issues that ORBX has had, but the bottom line is that ORBX calls the shots. They technically cannot prevent you from accessing licenses that you paid for (the EULA makes proper statements about user/ORBX rites) but they CAN prevent you from being a participant in their forums, with the exception of their support system. Sometimes you have to take a step back and try to step into their shoes for a moment. So maybe ORBX bit off a little more than they can chew. There was probably pressure from people above John's paygrade (ahem BOD) and with all that has rolled out this year, it was a bit overwhelming. I am sure a great many of us could see failure on the horizon, but it's too late to back out now. The latest issue with downloading and bandwidth and angry customers over it all was obviously not expected but the last thing John needs to hear is a "I told you so" or constantly being bombarded by people complaining about the way this is being handled. The way I see it, if you truly need for the ORBX team to hear your gripe, why not send them an email directly or a PM? Publicly pointing the finger isn't going to make you look any better (I learned that lesson the hard way). Meet them half way as they will do for you and it'll all get sorted out.
