FLYSIMWARE - CESSNA 441 CONQUEST II FSX P3D - some issues, questions

Recommended Posts

So, bought this plane on sale today. Taken if for a spin, a couple landings. In P3Dv3.

1. I have attached a screenshot of my GTN installed and on.  The screen is dull, but when I pop it open its nice and bright.  Anyone know why it shows so dull?  Is there a fix?

BRYAN-PC-2016-nov-28-005.md.jpg

2. I have a blank, what "weather" gauge. Is this supposed to be completely blank?  And mine doesn't look like the website and review screenshots.  Is this spot reserved for installing other commerically available weather radar only?

BRYAN-PC-2016-nov-27-004.md.jpg

3. I see someone else posted about take off and landing sounds.  They appear to be non existant, is this correct, it is terrible if that is how its been shipped.  Alabeo and others have great shakes, rattles etc, wheel noise etc.  I do have Acc Sim but haven't installed it into P3Dv3 yet so I can always do that but I'm just wondering what by default they haven't got good sound.

hi

1.- You can give it brightness in F 1 GTN config, GTN 750 unit 1, VC brightness, remember that you have to select the airplane.

2.- Is for the meteorological radar, either for payment (rex: WX Advantage Radar System) or free. For that you can enter the flysimware page you select your airplane and you enter to update or http://flysimware.com/website/Cessna441.html

Here it says how to install the radar
Captain Sim & ASNRadar CONFIG!

3.- That's the sound !! But it is very good airplane and fast! I like it!

I recommend the LEARJET 35a of flysimware, excellent airplane if you combine it with GTN750

regards

1. Oh, I didn't think of the F! config tool because the manual said not to use the configure to install the gauge.  But, yes I see its set to 60%, I'm trying it right now. OK the brighness is better but it could be even more in my view.

2. I still don't get it.  I don't have those payware and I can't see where we setup for a freeware gauge. I went over the AVSIM library and found this gauge, RolASNRadar.dll, I'll work on it.

3. It is fast and that is why I like it as well, but sad about the sound issue, surely the knew this and could look to enhance it.

OK that is perfect. Much thanks.

I'll try this out tomorrow.

So I downloaded the roland gauge.

Followed the instructions.

Made the mods to panel.cfg, fired her up and no joy.

Backed up my work, made a new panel.cfg using your posted detail, fired her up and still no joy.

I just have a black gauge and a black popup and the power on switches don't do anything.

Ugg, perhaps I should by the Milviz gauge.

I've had great success with this guage in the past in many addon.

Suggest you post in the Roland thread to be sure of help 'another weather guage'?

By the way do you realise there are four hidden click spots within the guage? Arranged in a square pattern. I think top left switched to test then on. Tried that?

And I think it supports only one view, so either in the VC or as a popup, but not both.

And you need Active Sky (Next or 16) for it.

Thanks for your input.  I have figured it all out.

Perhaps I'm not thinking too clearly. As I realized that I actually had to have Active Sky to make this work.  I'm a REX guy so obviously it would not work. So that is a bust.

And I do have click spots, they click but nothing happens of course because I don't have a working gauge.

So I am look to buy the Milviz gauge and that should solve the problem and I can use that guage elsewhere I guess.

Thanks.

You got it.  I do have the popup but nothing shows because I don't have ASN, which I somehow overlooked.  I thought it was a freeware gauge that functioned as a simulated weather map.

Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks.

Just bought and installed this aircraft in P3D.

Would like to add that I agree that the brightness of the GTN could be much better.  There was a similar issue in the Lear that was eventually fixed.    There is a mask or something at work in the model or textures.  Shining a light on the GTN - such as direct sunlight or FSLabs spotlights illustrates what is should look like, IMHO.

FYI I just bought the REX WX gauge and will install it tomorrow.  I suspect this will greatly enhance this plane.
