Problem with v1 and acceleration altitude on takeoff

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just installed fs2crew for the dash and I'm using the button version. I've made three flights and always had the same problem:

- Before 80knots, the FO calls v1 and rotate

- Immediately after lifting off, the FO calls  acceleration altitutde (way below 1000ft AGL).

I made double sure that the correct V-Speeds and MDAs are set in both PFDs.

Anybody know what could be wrong?

Thanks

Adrian

Hi,

Are you using hybrid units in the fsx settings?

Hi,

Are you using hybrid units in the fsx settings?

I was in the beginning but stumbled across this already in the forum. So indeed, I switched to US-system (feet, inches) and still have that problem

Are  you using the latest version of the Dash 8 aircraft?

When the FS2Crew Main Panel loads, do you see the word "fail" flash for a second or two?

I need to check again tonight. But I definitely use a version newer than the version mentioned in the documentation. So what does it mean, if you get that "fail"-flash at the beginning? Good or bad?

The Fail message would only appear if you are using an old version.  It basically means that data is not being read out of the aircraft.

Is it just the V Speed and acceleration that are the issues?  Is everything else fine?

Are you using LINDA?

Are you following the manual to the letter?  Not skipping anything?

I upgraded now to v1.019 and everything seems fine. So although I had a newer version than that required by the manual, it wasn't the newest one available and that caused problems.

Thanks for your hints.
