January 1, 20179 yr Hello, since i have updatet P3Dv3 to HF2 i can often see rotating clouds. is this an P3D or an AS16 feature?
January 1, 20179 yr AFAIK, it's an inherent part of the ESP-engine's core weather depiction system. In other words, they have always been there. I'm hoping that LM (or perhaps REX?) will totally redevelop the weather depiction engine within ESP - which will then effect FSX and P3D... But that's a fools hope, I suppose... January 1, 20179 yr Several versions back, LM added a Prepar3d.cfg entry to control the behavior of clouds based on the user's viewpoint. It can reduce the impact of "spinning clouds": http://www.avsim.com/topic/491593-as16-seeing-clouds-shifting-moving-out-of-the-way/?p=3452273 as will a setting that can be tweaked using PTA: http://www.avsim.com/topic/489844-p3d-v32-vs-v33-visible-improvements/?p=3438158 As long as 2D sprites are used to build 2.5D clouds, there will always be some "cloud spinning". I find that TrackIR makes this problem more noticeable and I suspect from reading posts here that VR also exacerbates the problem.
