I understand how the intertial system works within Chaseplane.

The problem I'm experiencing is when I turn around corners on the ground or bank in the air, my Captain view shifts and then locks to the position the move shifted it to. I constantly have to reposition and update the view after every move.

 

Has anyone else experienced this / have a solution I can try?

Yes, I notice that too.

I have the same with pedestal view. No other views.

It's a known but in FSX and FSX:SE (more info here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/374622-camera-movement-in-vc/page-1) 

It has been fixed in the latest versions of P3D.

 

We will be investigating and potentially fixing this issue after v1.0

I just had my first flight in PMDG 777 and I thought I had the same problem, thought did something wrong, found out to be a common bug.
