You heard right.  Ultimate Traffic Live, the successor to (the now ancient but still great) Ultimate Traffic 2, is in development at Flight1.  See this thread for more info:

Exciting stuff - if they update the AI models, fix a few unresolved issues with the original product, and compile for the upcoming 64-bit version of P3D, I think we're in for a treat!

I have recently uploaded my latest super duper UT2 updates .  If any one is interested please feel free to PM me.  Be advised they are 6 Gigs in size and you will need to have a copy of ut2 installed.
