...there'll be nothing to see! As it is I don't think there will be anything on this trip to bring on an attack of the VASes.

The route starts at Bar Harbor(KBHB) calls at various airports all of which are Orbx freeware, so no angst on the scenery front.

So, Orbx Bar Harbour is the only payware to consider if you want the full nine yards, otherwise FREEWARE all the way except North American Landclass, which I think we all have.

My thinking is for twin engined GAs. If you insist on RealAir's Turbine Dook, it is equipped with a handy attachment called throttle levers which can be pulled back to reduce speed. ;)

This bit is gonna hurt. Because of the proximity of the sea there will be a whoooole bunch of fog 'n' mist 'n' low cloud 'n' medium cloud, so if we use real weather, while being a challenge, it'll mean flying in grey. I'm going to suggest agreeing on a weather theme 'cough cough, choke splutter'  unless there's a favourable weather report on the day.

Checking the weather forecasts daily. Looking promising for Saturday. Sunset is at 16:57 so I'm looking to start at about 13:30 local. I do like a nice sunset.

Here are some screenies of yesterday's excellent flight. Quite a mix of aircraft. (cool!) Thanks Ron!
Just a teaser for now - over the next few days I'll go thru the recordings and capture some take-offs, landings & formations.

Only the good ones though - right Jeff?  :LMAO:

Our race teammate Travis showing up for the Saturday Hoedown. Just a quick set of instructions and he was up on JoinFS in no time. Of course he was in a Piaggio Avanti. :db:  My Avanti was relegated to the service hangar so he was aliased to Bry's wonderful paint of the Epic LT. At KBGR (Bangor Intl).

Mike revealing the legs of the wonderful Aero Commander 500s on his way into Bangor ME, here representing President Dwight D. Eisenhower's U-4B, the very first "Air Force One". A repaint by our very own Mr. Ron Attwood. Note - It will look drastically better in your sim, I reduce the paint sizes from 4096 to 1024 for MP sessions.

Most of the group at KIWI (Wiscasset) stopping for a quick $100 sandwich before returning to the skies. From the front - Jeff in his F1 Kingair B200, Nick in the red/white Lionheart Epic LT, Ron in the Milviz Cessna 310, myself in the LDR Grumman Mallard, back near the hangar are Mike in Air Force One & Gunter, both in Carenado Aero Commanders. Bert is out there somewhere in his Beech C90 GTX.

Money well spent on munchies. Here we add Josh shown in a SF260 (actually in a Trinidad 21) leading us off at KIWI for a rnwy 25 departure for KLCI (Laconia).

Josh fell asleep at the wheel so he got relegated to #3 for take off.

Ron doing his "thing" immediately after departure from KIWI. Love the livery! (GB Packer pride

The following are all shots leading in to our final destination - KPVC (Provincetown Municipal). The skies brought up discussions about the JFK Jr. incident where over the ocean a haze would come and go at low levels. Starting off is Nick.

Very little room at KPVC! We're all here though, down and safe. Forward to aft - Gunter, Jeff, Mike, a 172, Nick & I.

I was starting to wonder if Bert could actually see me because he ran through me a couple of times earlier, then parked on top of me! Now I know him as a thorough going gentleman, so I must have been invisible.

Great pics Roman. :good:

Indeed. What was I thinking? It fell on deaf ears I'm afraid.
