Foggy crosswind landing into Liverpool

Featured Replies

The good old 'Shed' coming into Liverpool on a foggy afternoon with a 20 knot crosswind and trying to avoid a bird strike. Dunno if it is intentional on the part of the developers of this FS version's flight model, but it seems to be strongly affected by a crosswind, which with those big slab sides, is likely to be the case on the real thing. I know the real thing can lean over at quite an angle when on the ground with a crosswind hitting it...

Nice shots. Nice plane.

Sure miss those USAir Shorts 360s passing over the house here. All replaced by Dash-8s.

Rode in one of those danged things once.  Yeah, we had to go around at O'hare.  Yeah, too much wind.  Not sorry to see it gone.

Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

Me too, Dan - I flew to the Isle of Man and back out of Blackpool once. Noisy as hell Could hardly hear a thing the stewardess was saying.
