Glad to hear that Steve.

Don't be afraid to share your experience with those that still fly the heavies solo.

And don't forget this is voice control for complex aircraft that doesn't eat valuable VAS because we aren't mad enough to run the speech engine inside the simulator process. No finger crossing, hoping Co-pilot will be with you after 10 hours of flight.

And on the rare occasion he misbehaves, you send him to the loo, and he'd come back fresh, ready to cater to your whims.

When I ask the FO to disconnect autopilot nothing happened..

 

Have tried calling Autopilot off as well.

Critical commands like disconnecting auto-pilot in-flight (or IRS off and other actions) are safeguarded against accidental recognition, with the need to confirm before FO executes the task.

Hi Gerald,

After I confirm FO says autopilot off, but the autopilot does not go off.

What could be happening ?.

 

Everything else works OK.
