February 3, 20179 yr Night is dark, landing lights barely visible. I have tried everything, and went through the steps of deleting shaders folder and letting sim rebuild it through repair (both shaders in P3D folder and APP data) and it is still too dark. I used PTA before and have a weird feeling that for some reason the shaders planted themselves in some corner and dont want to leave. After rebuilding shaders and setting PTA to all off, the night did lighten up but the landing lights are barely visible. I could not find anywhere on the internet default files for halo.bmp and spotlight.bmp so if anyone can provide theirs I will be thankful. February 3, 20179 yr Author Look at your monitors gamma setting ;-) Not adjustable as I have been RGB mode for years now only thing I did is get new monitor, but I highly doubt switch from 1440p display to 1080p with HDMI would do any difference. February 3, 20179 yr Author You could test on driver level (via software How do you do that? I did reinstall 3 drivers with no luck lol Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.

February 3, 20179 yr Author Right click desktop choose Nvidia profile... Although I highly doubt that will help, I will try it out once I get home! Thanks for the help! I'll keep you posted Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
February 3, 20179 yr Commercial Member You could try adjusting your Gamma. Also, it can be important to create a balance between your monitor(s) and your card. Best wishes. I just watched a video of BETA tester landing 744 at night, his night textures are darker than mine and by a lot especially since i've restored the sim, but for some reason his landing lights are brighter than mine. I am debating whether runway texture has anything to do with this...... Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
February 3, 20179 yr Author Just tried those options via remote desktop, no luck. Still runway is very well visible but landing lights just barely. Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
February 3, 20179 yr If you have REX you can choose your landinglights regarding brightness/contrast etc, You need another halo texture... You can also try setting your bloom higher. Or brightness + bloom. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
February 3, 20179 yr Author Nothing really works. I tried varying lighting settings not much change. Runways, land lighten up but landing lights stay dim Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
February 4, 20179 yr If your runways have dark textures that affects the ability of landing lights to show on the ground. The lighter the runway the more light gets reflected. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
