Running lcd monitors at other than their native resolution causes inferior image quality. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. February 10, 20179 yr Commercial Member Depends on the monitor. Running my Samsung 4k at 2k I can tell a little difference but that is because the resolution is less. I can run my Samsung at 1080p and still get a picture sharp as a razor. My buddy has a Vizo 4k and it does look worse at 2k. February 11, 20179 yr Author Now, it's much Better: So, I removed NI completely, and set anti- aliasing to only 2X within P3D. Frames locked at 30,set my Samsung monitor at correct HDMI and Dynamic settings, and booom, I'm simming P3D at 65 inches of Native Resolution, and maintaining an acceptable fps and fluidity around 22 fps.. Yes it's doable and looks AMAZING. I will still get a better card; I'm sure it will help to manage this tremendous load of graphics.
