February 9, 20179 yr I am ready to upgrade to As16 from Asn but only if you notice a difference. I have As Cloud Art but it does not dynamically change textures unless you have As16 (my memory loading is so high maybe it is better this is off)
February 10, 20179 yr I switched to AS16 from ASN a couple months back. I really like it, but I do think the performance is degraded some. I see more stutters at times but nothing overwhelming. My favorite part, to be honest, is the cloud motion effect. It really brings it to life to me. There were problems with it in the beginning, but now it seems to work great. I can't say I've seen a cloud motion effect unless I was in the clouds or very close to them. Close enough to be realistic. Prior to the last couple updates the cloud effect would activate in places with no clouds. Sometimes you only have to be close to the clouds to see this effect in real life. February 12, 20179 yr I agree with the above. The latest versions, the one you would buy now are even better and the clouds so much more realistic. You do need to buy ASCA Active Sky Cloud Art, as well as Active Sky 16 in order to see the moving cloud effects and for the dynamic weather changes to work. AS16 will actually change the weather themes during your flight which is pretty cool. Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
February 13, 20179 yr I downloaded the Trial Version of AS16. Flew the same flight with AS16 and ASN for about 5 minutes from Philly where there were clouds tonight. I did see some cloud movement moreso with AS16, but my question is to all the forum members out there.......Do you think there's a real difference between the two? Also do you have to buy ASCA Active Sky Cloud Art as one of the posters says here? Stan
