March 16, 20179 yr Ran the OC updates yesterday and did a six hour flight in the Queen. When finished, I allowed my machine to update Windows 10 with the MS push yesterday. Subsequently rebooted the machine and then two successive flights with the Queen ended in during loadup (FSX started successfully, but failed during scenery load) and then a following flight quit to desktop within 30 minutes. I have never had this problem before with the new Queen - so I suspect the update by Microsoft changed something. Any recommendations on how to proceed with troubleshooting? Thanks. Scott Robinson

Do you have a record of the event that indicates the faulting module? What other addons are you running with FSX? Will FSX start and load your default (non-PMDG) flight? Dan Downs KCRP
March 16, 20179 yr Author downscc - Thanks for helping. I don't have a record. Is there a utility that I can use to review what was occurring when the sim shutdown? I have had a fairly stable setup so haven't really had the need previously. The sim will start with the default aircraft (the powered hanglider) and will run. I tried a non-PMDG aircraft, but the sim shutdown/crashed during the scenery loading (around 70-80% loaded). I did not change or add any software yesterday when this fault first arose, with the exception of the MS update. I do use SimStarter to manage startup and loading, but the only variation I added there was what scenery to load. Scott Robinson
March 17, 20179 yr Make a system restore to the point before the installation of the updates? I think this is the best way to determine if your issues are effectively due to the MS updates. Good luck Thibault Dosunmu
March 17, 20179 yr Tend to hate those Windows 10 updates. Mine are disabled long time ago.
