I also got one wing missing, not an impressive start. Oh well I guess I'll have towait for the Level D 757Ron

If you take the time to read what is in the demo, you will see that there is one wing only on purpose. The thing that annoyed me the most was the sign right in the center of the capt view making it unflyable from the left seat. I was also discouraged to only see the VC as I prefer to fly in 2d mode. I also would have liked to hear all the sounds.Overall for a demo it ran well in VC. The guage refresh rates are low but the overall sim was smooth. I too wish it was a fuller example with a time limit or limited flying area. Simply, it wasn't enough for me to decide whether or not to buy it. The Herc is my all time favorite aircraft, but after my experiances with Capt Sim I am still iffy. Scott

Just a note on this. CS was quick to reactivate my key. Thanks CS.

Guys the framerates are VERY VERY easy to fix.For some gawdawful reason CS made a lot of the plane 16 bit and some 32 bit and none DXT3. I used DXT-BMP and in only moments converted all the textures to DXT.Now my Pro bird has AWESOME frames. The ONLY complaint I have now is my engines -- they shut down whenever I touch down. It's odd, too, because no other AC has that issue -- only the Herc. If I slew and come out of slew -- engines die. Take off and land -- on touchdown the engines die. Slew mode but com out of slew mode OFF the ground, engines DON't die. It's only when the aircraft senses a "touchdown" that they die.Still waiting support from CS on this one, but as far as frames go -- convert those textures. You'll LOVE the performance afterwards. Never before had I seen a developer use 16 bit. That threw me off, but DXT3 is just as clear as 32 bit (why folks argue this, I have no idea. DXT3 is crisp and clear on a low end system I run) and much better on frames.

I dunno. I have the download version. Also bear in mind the engines shutting down may be just a corrupt file locally on my machine, as I had the AC installed and flying successfully for a period of time before this started happening. It's a great AC . . . and sticking with this thread's topic, with the DXT-BMP fix frames are a cinch. I can even fly my Switzerland Pro scenery again without blurries. Before I converted the textures, seemed liek this was the only ac that took so many resources that my photo scenery abotu had a heart attack, but after converting the textures down, everything works wonderfully FPS-wise.
